At Chess Club

Every Tuesday morning I'm helping out at the Fairmeadows chess club. It's run by two moms who work very hard and do a great job keeping things going. My job is to be the grown up who knows chess. I try to teach a little lesson at the start, and then to be referee for the games ("Can he do that?" "Is that a stalemate?").

Bobby (on the right) does battle over the board. (He won the game)

It's been a busy week, and I'm sorry I haven't posted more. I drove up to Minneapolis Tuesday night for some business meetings Wednesday, so I missed Beggars Night Tuesday. Today Vickie and I meet with the lawyer to sign updated wills - something that my friend David's recent death motivated me to finally get done. With that grim work done, we can prepare to celebrate a special birthday tomorrow!

H and I had our will written and signed last year. It really is a relief to have them out of the way isn't it?
