The thrilling, yet strangely clueless, life of a public accountant
So how was work Tuesday?
Pretty uneventful. It might have been more exciting had I looked out my window to see the tornado going by:
I knew it was raining hard, but I didn't hear any sirens, so...
Had I turned around, I would have had a great view, because it would have been just about 1 1/2 blocks south of my south-facing window.
The paper says it also touched down around 13th and Mulberry, six blocks west of the office. That would make it's path something like this, via Google earth:

The tornado touched down at 1 and 2, apparently.
So who says my life isn't exciting? It's just I don't notice.

DES MOINES, Iowa -- A witness said a small tornado tossed vehicles and trees in Des Moines at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Duane Adamson was working in the EMC building nearby and saw the whole thing happen.
"The rain was swirling, going into a circular motion -- very odd-looking -- enough that it caught my attention so then I stood up and looked out the window and that's what I saw, amazing," Adamson said.

Doh!
You must have been reading.
I am not surprised.
Now if one of us would unknowingly walk over an elephant in a hallway two of Mom's major theorys about us would be proven.
I meant theories...
Do you think that perhaps it is a sign from God that you need to look up once and a while to look at life outside the office window?
Your life hasn't been shortented by not seeing this tornado. Odd that it happened in October in the middle of town.
Retta - guilty.
Peggy - I do look out the window quite a bit, actually. Oddly enough, I must have been trying to work for a change.
