Random images from the weekend

Bobby was stuck at home with some cold-like bug, so I worked from home this weekend.

Where were Vickie and Dan, you ask? They were building the set and rehearsing for the church Dinner Drama. They do the Wizard of Oz this year; Dan plays Uncle Henry and does the lights. Vickie is helping with "cast care." The proceeds help finance next year's youth trip to England.

When Bobby is sick, Grandma Dorothy can't stop to visit because of her transplant, but she bought a cake at the store for us to celebrate Bobby's chess match. It doesn't take a lot to get Grandma to buy a cake.

I had to get gas for the car. Under $2 again!

I rehung a bird feeder brought down by the squirrels, after taking technical steps to prevent them from knocking it down again. I'd explain the details, but I fear they may have internet access. It was very cold here - high about 12 (f) yesterday - so the birds needed it.

Bobby used his enforced idleness to build a mighty Lego castle.

And I fixed Sunday dinner.

Pork chops marinated cider vinegar and apple juice, cooked in barbecue sauce. It turned out well.

And so passes a cozy weekend at the Kristans.
