Snow!

We hardly had any snow this winter until this weekend. It doesn't seem right to have no snow. We finally got some this weekend - an inch or so Saturday, and maybe 4-5 inches yesterday and last night.

Dan was skiing with the church youth in Minnesota, and the bus returned in the snow last night. He got home after 10:00 last night, safe, tired and happy.

Saturday snow on Court Avenue.

A snow dusting for the Reagan memorial on Court Ave.

The view in our backyard just a few minutes ago.

I know it gets old by March, but I still get excited by snow. It transforms a brown and gray midwinter landscape into something magical, at least for a little while. I'm glad the boys have today off to play. Of course, Dan did ask to finish the shoveling, as he needs some cash, and that suits me just fine.

A teenage kid if he or she has a shovel need never be broke after it snows.

I love snow too. I still want to go outside and play in it. Snow makes everything look so clean. It makes driving a bit more adventuresome, but hey . . .

I wish I could just skip out and put on the cross-country skis. Maybe I'll sneak out tonight...
