Rugged duty
I am on my annual work trip to Newport Beach, California. Here is the view out my hotel window:
Here is a crow ignoring me on my way to the car this morning. I was hoping I was taking a picture of something more exotic, but it flew away and I saw it was just a plain old crow.
Picture taking is limited, as I work during the day and the sun goes down early. That's how they tell it's winter here, I suppose. I fly back to reality tomorrow:

California is sunny and warm but it sure isn't Iowa. I know which state I prefer! I hope they let you out of all those powerpoint presentations to enjoy the sun for a minute before you head back to John Wayne (formerly Orange County) airport.
Peggy, I prefer Iowa. Still, it is nice to get a brief break from winter. And no Powerpoints - I'm doing corporate tax work - which I'd rather do than sit in a presentation any day.
And yes, we will see John Wayne this afternoon...
