Stupendous Bowl weekend
The last two years I have been traveling on business on the day of the Super Bowl. That trip is next weekend this year, so I was able to be home for the cub scout "Blue and Gold Banquet," which is always the same day as the Super Bowl. Next year Rob moves up to Boy Scouts, so it will be a real big deal then.
Dan's high school Jazz Orchestra played a workshop with two other bands at Urbandale High School this weekend. One of the bands was from Johnston, and it has the Oatts brothers, Dan's friends and occasional bandmates. They were excellent. I think Dan enjoyed hanging out with them a bit. Dan's band wasn't too shabby either. Here's "Prelude to a Kiss":
As for the football game, I didn't watch much until the fourth quarter, though we all watched Tom Petty do the halftime show. I was impressed that they were able to clear the huge stage and the people from the field so quickly. The boys watched the commercials for awhile, as the game is sort of a showcase for lavish commercials, but that palled and they went on to other things. They aren't big sports fans. The fourth quarter was entertaining, and it was a close finish.

Very nice :)
I am glad you had a good weekend. We are expecting another big snow storm just in time for Mardis Gras.
