Dan, your bottom string thas a bit of what looks like corrosion on it but you're probably aware of that.
When I took guitar lessons, way back in the 70's I used to eat peanut butter sandwiches while practicing. My teacher used to laugh at me for getting peanut butter on the strings. I didn't stick with it and can't play a single thing.
