Raingutter Regatta

It was a big scouting weekend here. Dan went on an outing at Camp Matigwa, and it sounds like he had fun. He doesn't often do things with the scouts anymore, as busy as he is, and I'm glad he can still have fun with it.

Bobby/Rob had his Cub Scout "Raingutter Regatta." The scouts make boats out of little kits supplied by the scout store, decorating them and racing them down gutters. Here Bobby shows off his boat:

If it looks familiar, he decided to recycle last year's boat when the paint job on the new one didn't meet his standards. He added a new sail, making for a much faster boat. Here it is in action:

It's like a sea rocket!

That boat rocks! I can't wait to show Jay the video when he get's home. He will be very impressed with Rob's mad raingutter regatta skillz.

I am glad Dan still enjoys the outings.
