Off to All State

Today Dan goes up to Ames for the All-State music festival. He gets this afternoon and tomorrow off school for it. The All-State orchestra stays in hotels up in Ames and spends all day tomorrow rehearsing for the Saturday Night concert (we have tickets!) It will be televised statewide Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving on IPTV, and I understand videos will be available.

There is a big dinner at Hickory Park (ice cream!) Saturday before the show for members and families - this will be a big weekend!

Bobby's parent-teacher conferences were yesterday, and we heard good things. Yay Rob!. It was fun to talk to his cello teacher, who knows Dan - we have one musician just starting, and one at all-state. It wasn't that long ago that Dan was just starting out - and we get to do it again!
