Quick Trip

This weekend saw a rugged little road trip. We drove to Bloomington, Indiana to visit the school of music at Indiana University. It's a long drive - it took us about 10 hours, not counting the hour we lost changing time zones, and we got to bed about 2 a.am. Dan seems to like it, but we're still early in the college hunt.

After we finished up there Friday, we drove up to Chicago to visit my mom and siblings. We usually make the Chicago trip in August, but Dan's Marchmaster schedule makes that impossible this year. Here to greet us is my brother Ed and our newest niece, Retta's Anna:

Here's the oldest niece, Eddie's Meg, who just turned 18:

Me, the Brothers, and Mom:

Ben, Jay and Bobby:

Bobby and I are done with travel for the summer. Vickie and Dan go to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin this coming Saturday for a church work trip, so Bobby and I get a week as as one-parent, one-child household. I miss Vickie already, and she hasn't even left yet... but we'll have some fun. Or else!

I am glad that you made it home safely!

I enjoyed the pictures. (Ben will not stop perching on top of that chair no matter what I say or do.)
When will you learn that you must only photograph me from my good side? Really, you should consult my publicist.
