Computer update

The new computer is partially set up. It has a built-in camera, and this picture was taken just as I was showing this fun feature to the boys. I have also set up the "virtual machine" that will enable me to run Windows XP at the same time as the Mac programs (via the "Parallels" program. Maybe I can start restoring old files tonight.

Parallels was a frustrating experience because the out-of-the-box software didn't work. I eventually figured out that there was a patch to download that fixed it, but it wasn't easy to find. I sent a help request to tech support at 8:00 pm, solved it myself by 9:00, and the email telling me how to fix it arrived about 2:30 this morning. Still, it looks pretty cool. I can't wait to get all up and running.
