Football Scenes

High school football has started. The local team, Valley High, won the state title last year, but lost its first game this year to the local archrival Dowling Catholic. But the band sounded good, which is more important anyway.

Of course we brought the camera along.



Dowling fans were hungry for victory after losing for seven straight years to Valley - twice, in some years, when both teams made the playoffs.



The burden of the losing streak must have weighed on this fan like Jacob Marley's chain.
