Grandma's moved

The movers came yesterday to move Dorothy to Wesley Acres. Vickie has been working like a fiend to get her packed and is pretty much worn out. Dorothy spent last night at the new place for the first time, and while there is still work to do, I think the worst may be over.

I took the day off to help pack and move boxes around, but the movers did the heavy lifting. The piano shuffling had been done a day earlier, with Dorothy's big piano brought to our house, and our smaller piano shifted to her new place. We have rented a mini-storage unit for a bunch of furniture that nobody has room for, and Vickie is organizing a sale for that. She's hiring it out to an outfit that sells everything and disposes of the unsold stuff for a fee -- a wise decision.

We still have to sell Dorothy's apartment and deal with some stuff still in there, but now it's not so urgent. Know anybody who wants a nice Grand Avenue condo in a good neighborhood?

It is a lot of work isn't it! It could have been a lot worse. You could have had a mother-in-law that hoards and still had her RATION coupons from the war!

Peggy-

Fortunately, she only had about 12 years to accumulate at this place! Wow - you must have needed a roll-off box.
