Times Square
Walking in New York is not relaxing. There are so many people on the sidewalks that you are constantly maneuvering around oncoming bodies coming at you or slow walkers moseying the same way you're going. It's nothing like walking Brownie at 8 pm at home, where I may share the sidewalk with one other pedestrian in a half-hour. If you tend to be absent-minded, like me, it's work. You can't just stop and look at something. Sometimes I wish I had brake lights on my butt so I could stop and gawk more safely, but that might send the wrong message here.
Times Square makes the other sidewalks seem tame, though. They are absolutely clogged. The saving grace is, everybody there is gawking, so it's easy to take pictures. The secret seems to be to let the sensory overload carry you away.
The tax classes are are good, though the 8:30 am to 7:00 pm schedule we had yesterday makes for a long day. Today we wade into the swamps of partnership tax, but only until 5:00. I'll skip the "cocktail reception" to work on my own partnership presentation outline that I have to turn in next week.
