Freedom Fair
The Iowa State Fair remains holdout against the evil forces of mandated healthy habits. High calorie, high fat stuff is gloriously celebrated.
In the land of fried Twinkies and pork chop on a stick, you can still find funnel cake in its greasy glory:

The fair's over, and the boys go back to school Wednesday. Summer is coming to an end - but at least with the Cubs in first place!

Cigarettes and film for cameras? Iowa is still delightfully behind the times.
You know, I've never had a funnel cake in my life. I'll have to try one sometime.
