House Finch

 My hummingbirds have left on their long winter's trip. 

I missed having birds to watch from my work-at-home desk, so I put out two conventional feeders - one for "bird seed" and one thistle feeder.

Here is my first thistle customer, at least that I saw:

My little Birds of Iowa book and my app suggest I have a House Finch. Working at home, maybe I'll learn my birds. I'm seeing a lot of different birds that I can't name.
