Up North!
A polar bear!
But we're not really that far north. We visited the Como Park Zoo in the Twin Cities on Sunday and saw this guy. I think it was a bit toasty for his taste.
Now we are in Tofte - and the hotel has wi-fi! A bit erratic, but a pleasant surprise. Tonight, Dan and I stay in the bunkhouse at the outfitters; tomorrow we embark in the canoes to where no wi-fi reaches. It's very pleasant and cool up here; I hope it stays that way while we are out on the lakes paddling. Vickie and Bobby will remain here in our highly-civilized room with this view of Lake Superior:

That is one skinny old bear! Have fun in the BWCA! I hope you let us know if you see some good wildlife.
