Playground Raising!

In the spirit of an old-fashioned barn raising, the Fairmeadows School parents had a playground raising today. The school was closed last year for a big renovation, and new playgrounds are going in as part of the project. School starts in August, so lets get busy!



Or not. Dad does the construction work he's best suited for (lower right corner) while people with a clue get at it. If you look closely (you can click on the picture for a better look) you might see Dan's orange shirt behind a yellow pole.


Meanwhile, the younger kids get busy with the important business of random shoveling. Bobby is wearing the yellow shiert. The girl at right looks on the project. I think she has her doubts.


A dad and a mom mix concrete...



But dark clouds threaten to put a stop to the day's efforts.



The heavens erupt, and the construction crew scurries for cover. Maybe we finish tomorrow.

All four of us participated in the project. The construction world is reminded why Dad has a desk job.
