Memorial Day

We took Don and Dorothy to Glendale Cemetery, like we always do on Memorial Day, to decorate Vickie's Dad's grave.

Dan arranged the geranium basket with stakes and a drumstick for a personalized memorial.

Here Dan and Bobby pose as... I don't know what. Cemetery secret service?

Then it was back home for chores, including making some vacation reservations. We grilled a dinner and had ice cream - a great way to end a 3-day weekend. Back to work today. Only 5 days of school left!

Dan and Bobby appear to be showing mortician aptitude... genetics?

The geraniums are lovely- and that is an impressive 'Dad-git' that Don rigged.

I be he would have appreciated all of you visiting together like that. I remember going to my grandpa's grave on Memorial Day. I miss doing that now as I'm way too far away.
