Snake-o de Mayo
Today is the day the Iowa Department of Transportation chose for area civic groups, including my Des Moines Sertoma Club, to pick up trash along I-235 through Des Moines.
At the start of the adventure, Minda asked whether we had ever seen snakes on a highway cleanup. I answered, truthfully, no.
There's always a first time!
He's so cute! Look at him try to hide in the grass!
We left the board he was living under in place, doing our part to preserve the wild kingdom along the freeway.
