The thrilling life of a Des Moines accountant
So I've been busy on extended returns. My life has been largely spent in my office, but I've been making the best of my admittedly limited scope for picture-taking.
The big thrill for me has been the diversion of BNSF trains through downtown, and past my window, on the Iowa Interstate (old Rock Island) tracks. Without further ado, some locomotives rarely seen in Des Moines:

There are train spotters here in the UK who have created a whole hobby out of doing this. They have clubs, special notebooks and (I suspect) a secret handshake.
:-) I sure sure do like seeing trains though.
