Memorial Day!

A very busy Memorial Day here. Bobby and I planted "his" garden with impatiens and snapdragons. We cleaned up and joined Grandma Dorothy and Grandpa Don for a trip to Glendale to visit Vickie's Dad's grave. We also stopped off at the Civil War veteran graves at Woodland. Then after naps we began the big cookout: grilled skewers of turkey, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and onions, along with rice, asparagus, fresh fruit and salads.


Vickie did the bulk of the prep.


"Look, I can do this with one eye closed. Heck, I can do it with BOTH eyes closed!"


Mmmmm....



After dinner the grownups linger to talk...


While the boys flee to the television!

And another Memorial Day comes to a close. Spare a thought for those who've gone before.
