Double Bass
As of today, we have two bassists in the house.
Rob is trying out the noble bass for summer orchestra, in place of his accustomed cello. He had his first lesson today, and he got a school instrument to keep at home. The lesson went well, and he likes it so far.
I suspect Dan is secretly pleased, though he'd never say so.

It is a good thing you have a nice big house instead of an apartment.
I hope he does well with the bass! Dan has had great success with that instrument.
