Cousins, etc
One of the nice things about the great 65th Anniversary bash for Uncle Jay and Aunt Elaine was the chance to see many long-unseen relatives and family friends. And, of course, to take their pictures.

Here my first cousin, Jay's Daughter Betty Jane (r) stands with her niece, Julie. It was a kind gesture when Julie saw me coming in and could apparently tell I was trying to determine which McCaughey sister I was facing. When I last saw Julie she had dark hair, many years ago. Unlike her sister, Dorie:

When I ran into Julie I was about to guess she was Dorie, but Julie saved me the embarrassment. I did get another pair of sisters confused, which you will see in another post.

Here my mom stands with Annie, one of Betty Jane's older sisters.

And here the other sister, Mary Kay, stands with my oldest brother.

And here Julie is with Betty Jane's daughters, Rachel and Christina. They all look so good, you'd never guess they were MY relatives!
More later.

I have a similar problem with cousins from my mother's side of the family. There are lots of them. All in all, I have 32 cousins! That's just the 1st cousins. I'm not counting the spouses and children.
The cousins on my dad's side of the family, I can remember all names and faces. It goes a bit blurry with the other side of the family.
